Role and services provided as National Operator
- Establish a balanced and trustworthy Blue Flag India National Jury
- Inform any interested individual or applicant about Blue Flag and award process
- Guide applicants to register and formally apply for Blue Flag Award
- Undertake field visit to specific candidate beaches to conduct gap analysis with respect to compliance criteria and support applicant about intervention requirements
- Guide applicants to achieve and maintain award and compliance criteria over a period of time
- Catalyse the exchange of experiences and information between local participants
- Conduct regular control visits to pilot or awarded Blue Flag beaches
- Serve as the link between the National Blue Flag Programme and the Programme in other countries and Blue Flag International
